Mission on site
Municipality of "Le Phare"
in Bukavu
The “LePhare” (Lighthouse) church in Bukavu sees itself as a biblical family on mission. The lively community is led by Pastor Nicolas. After studying theology, he returned to his homeland to build God's kingdom locally. His heart for Jesus, discipleship and mission is infectious. He not only guides the community members in the Word of God, but also accompanies young people in particular so that they grow in faith and become strong leaders who take responsibility for their country as believing Christians. Because the community has already grown, it exists in two different neighborhoods in Bukavu. As a partner, Focus Congo would like to support the community with double rental costs and numerous missions.
Mission operations in
own land
We support communities in eastern Congo with missions in their own country. It is important that local Christians and communities become aware that it is their own responsibility to build the Kingdom of God in their country, to be bearers of hope and peacemakers. We provide support to the communities in the form of food for the mission operations, transport costs and costs for the materials required for the operations.
Musical instruments for
young worship bands
We would like to support young praise bands in communities in Congo with musical instruments so that they can not only learn music, but also sing songs together to honor God. We believe that in praise you can encounter God and feel his presence. Young people in the Congo should also experience this and find their place in the community. The church should be a place for them where they can express themselves, be supported and grow in their relationship with God.
